    Fingerprinting Services

    City of Norwalk Police Department
  • FINGERPRINT APPOINTMENT ONLY (Not for Permit Pickup)

Fingerprinting Services are for NORWALK RESIDENTS ONLY or for Non-Residents as an employment requirement with a Norwalk Business. As a Non-Resident, you must have a letter from the company stating your need for fingerprinting.

You will need to Pre-Enroll first with the State of CT using the proper Service Code and receive an Applicant Transaction Number prior to coming in to be fingerprinted. We are unable to fingerprint you without this number for a purpose within the State of Connecticut.

Norwalk Residents being fingerprinted for Immigration or Out of State purposes do not need to Pre-Enroll since they do not have a State of CT Service Code. You will be fingerprinted and provided with the cards to mail off with your application.

See the Norwalk Police website FAQs - How Do I Get My Fingerprints Taken for complete instructions.

All Pistol Permit Applications must be completed and notarized prior to the fingerprint appointment. Come to the lobby of Norwalk Police Headquarters at 1 Monroe Street.
